LUCID NARRATIVE
About Lucid Narrative

Experienced thinking. Practical direction.

Lucid Narrative is an independent marketing strategy, advisory and leadership consultancy helping businesses make clearer decisions, strengthen capability and move important work forward. From brand and growth strategy to marketing transformation, team development and ongoing leadership, support is shaped around the business and the challenge at hand.

Why Lucid Narrative exists

Lucid Narrative was built around a straightforward observation: businesses don’t always need more marketing activity. Often, they need a clearer understanding of what’s working, where investment or effort could be better directed and what needs to change.

Having worked across national healthcare organisations, brand transformations, acquisitions and marketing function development, I’ve seen how easily marketing can become disconnected from the decisions that matter commercially.

Lucid Narrative brings that experience to businesses that need independent perspective, practical direction and support that fits the situation - whether that’s a single decision, a defined project or ongoing leadership.

The experience behind the business

Lucid Narrative was founded by Holly Speerin, a marketing leader with more than 10 years’ experience spanning healthcare, medical technology and complex service environments.

Most recently, Holly led national marketing and referrer engagement for a major Australian cardiology services provider, working across a network of more than 80 clinics and 140 cardiologists. Her experience includes establishing a standalone marketing function following divestment, leading a national brand transformation and acquisition integration program, and working with executive, clinical and operational stakeholders to connect marketing priorities with business needs.

Across her career, she has worked in brand strategy and transformation, growth and go-to-market planning, digital marketing, patient and referrer engagement, marketing operations, team leadership and organisational change.

How I work

The starting point is understanding the business, not prescribing a service. That means asking the right questions, testing assumptions and identifying what will make the biggest difference — whether that’s a clearer strategy, a better way of working, a stronger brand or experienced leadership to guide delivery.

The aim is practical progress: clear recommendations, defined priorities and work that can be used by the people responsible for taking it forward.

Ways to work together

  • Advisory — ongoing access to experienced perspective and decision support.
  • Projects — defined strategy, brand, growth, transformation or capability work.
  • Fractional leadership — embedded senior marketing leadership on a flexible basis.
